Service / Visa and arrival

Arrive with
the paperwork sorted.

Visa rules for Egypt depend on your passport and can change. We help you work out what applies to you, point you to the official source and support you on arrival.

How Egypt visas work

Three possible
routes.

Depending on your passport, you may be able to apply online for an e-visa, buy a visa on arrival at the airport, or need to apply in advance through an Egyptian embassy or consulate. Which one applies changes from time to time, and the details, such as fees and processing times, change too.

The official place to check is the Egypt e-Visa portal. For embassy visas, contact the Egyptian embassy in your country. If you hold a valid visa for certain other countries, you may have extra options; the portal and embassy can confirm.

What we can do

  • Tell you what we currently see for your passport, and where to confirm it
  • Provide a hotel confirmation and day-by-day itinerary for your application
  • Arrange meet-and-assist at Cairo airport, so someone is with you at the visa and immigration desks
  • Plan your first day lightly in case anything takes longer than expected

What we cannot do

We cannot apply for a visa on your behalf, guarantee a decision or advise you to travel without one. If an embassy visa is needed, apply early: processing can take several weeks.

Visa questions

What travellers
ask us most.

Can I get a visa on arrival in Egypt?

It depends on your passport. Some nationalities can; many cannot. Check the official e-Visa portal or the Egyptian embassy before you book.

How long does an Egypt e-visa take?

The portal gives current processing times. Apply at least two weeks before travel, and earlier if you can.

Will you send an invitation letter?

We can provide a booking confirmation and itinerary once your trip is confirmed. Whether an embassy needs anything more depends on your application.

Do children need their own visa?

Yes. Every traveller, including children and infants, needs their own valid visa and passport.
