Honeymoons in Egypt

A honeymoon that
still feels like Egypt.

The pyramids together, the Nile at sunset, a balloon over Luxor at dawn and a few days by the sea with nothing planned.

◷ 9 to 12 days✦ Private throughout⌖ Cairo, the Nile and the Red Sea
How we plan honeymoons

Three chapters,
getting slower.

A good Egypt honeymoon has a shape. The first days are for the big sights: the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The middle is the Nile, ideally a few nights on a cruise or dahabiya, with temples by day and long evenings on deck. The end is the Red Sea, in a hotel chosen for quiet rather than entertainment.

We keep the guided time to the mornings and leave the evenings to you. Where it makes sense, we add a night in Aswan before the cruise, because it is the most romantic town on the river.

The moments couples remember

  • A felucca at sunset in Aswan, with just the boatman
  • The hot-air balloon over the Valley of the Kings at dawn
  • Dinner on the deck of a dahabiya, moored at an island
  • An empty beach at Marsa Alam or Soma Bay

Honeymoon questions

Before you
book.

When is the best time for an Egypt honeymoon?

October to April is the most comfortable for sightseeing. The Red Sea is warm enough to swim all year, though it is cooler in January and February.

Is Egypt a good honeymoon destination?

For couples who want more than a beach, yes. Few places combine world-famous sites, a river journey and a warm sea in one trip.

Can we add a beach-only extension?

Of course. Many couples add three or four extra nights on the Red Sea at the end.

Will hotels ask for a marriage certificate?

Couples on foreign passports are not normally asked. If either of you holds an Egyptian passport, tell us and we will confirm each hotel's policy.
